Speed
This week's strip took about 4 hours to do. Every time I do a new strip I get faster. The odds of my getting out the strip twice weekly have shortened. I've got some more ideas for change, too.
Working for George
I was pleasantly surprised on Tuesday when I stopped by Addanac City and saw the guest strip I'd done for George, AC's head honcho. I'd been snowed under an avalanche of meaningless paperwork in work and I'd forgotten all about it. It was a nice little oasis in an otherwise dry week. Naturally, I spent a little time looking at guest strips from other cartoonists, most of whom can be linked to over on the right hand side of this very page. Check them out. See what you think.
As you get faster the strips get better.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Gray. Maybe if I reach my goal of putting up a strip every day they'll finally be good enough. In fact, I'll make that the plan. Sorry - The Plan!
ReplyDeleteSee that's how I get my stuff down to an hour. I only use one panel instead of four. ha ha
ReplyDeleteLove the line "bridge too far, man"
Hmm. One panel instead of four. It seems too good to be true.
ReplyDeleteThese are getting real good (not like they weren't before, but...) I like the smaller strips. And diet - I'm going to have to resort to that after 4th of July weekend. I think I had more burgers than a McDonalds chain stocks up on weekly.
ReplyDeleteI am so jealous of your crisp linework, John. Even without your awesome color, the series looks phenomenal. Keep it up!
ReplyDeleteJohn, I just discovered your webcomic today. It is a shame you didn´t continnue doing it. I love the characters, your lines and the graphic style. It´s elegant and clean! It was a great job!!!!!!
